David Bullimore was the (non-identical) twin brother of Antony, also of our year. Here is a photo of the boys and their sister in their childhood -- David is at left, their sister Patricia in the middle, and Antony at the right.

Both boys were boarders at DHS. They had to deal with family tragedy during their schooldays: their elder brother was murdered, and their father died suddenly. The school offered no counseling of any kind, and the boys were left to deal with their grief as best they could.
After his military service, David attended the Cedara College of Agriculture, and then entered a career with the major forestry company, Hunt Leuchars and Hepburn. He was highly regarded there and was soon promoted to responsible positions overseeing their forests of eucalpytus, pine, and wattle.
David married Gay, a nurse. In due course they adopted three children, two girls and a boy.
In 1981 David and the family went on holiday to Greece. On his return he felt some abdominal pains. An investigation revealed that he had extensive metastatic cancer, and he passed away within two months.
David Bullimore was survived by his his wife Gay and their three children, his mother, his brother Antony, and his sister Patricia.
[Thanks to Antony Bullimore for his help with this In Memory notice]
