In Memory

Anthony Hanson

Anthony Hanson started out with the class of 1960 but repeated third from and so joined us in 1958. He was promptly appointed school bell ringer, perhaps because he was already familiar with school routines. He peformed this duty with unfailing punctuality. If the bell was even a few seconds late, this was a clear signal that Anthony was absent that day and somebody else was substituting. After school Anthony pursued interests in the theatre and in professional ice skating, in both South Africa and Europe.

In about 1965 Anthony was found dead in a theater in Durban, foul play not suspected.  Please let us know if you have any further details about Anthony.
